George Gray
Artist
George Gray is a leading contemporary artist working in the Modernist tradition. He first started exhibiting in the late 1960s with work now held in private collections in the USA, Japan, Europe, and New Zealand. He is presently represented by Porter Gray Gallery in Queenstown, and Parnell Gallery in Auckland.
George’s artwork is an amalgam of over 60 years experience. During this time, he has developed techniques and a use of materials and themes that reflect influences from his youth.
The techniques that remain are those that contribute to a finished product that deeply resonates with George. These in turn heavily influence the materials he uses, with themes drawn from personal experience.
