Helen Wilson
Artist

Helen began creating art in early childhood, developing a love for realism, colour theory and figure painting through drawing and acrylics. At 16 she studied screen printing and received a $20k scholarship to Idyllwild Arts Academy. She chose instead to move to New Zealand, to study at the University of Auckland and to continue growing her creative practice.

Helen began her creative journey with mixed media sculpture, receiving her first hot glue gun at age five! "A few years later I was asked to draw a portrait and quickly became determined to master realism. As an early teen I started painting with acrylics, where I developed a love for colour theory, abstract design, and figure painting."
